In Kookaburra Men's Premier, our Northcote 1st XI chalked up a win over Essendon 1st XI.
Over the course of the match we totalled 8/357, and Essendon 1st XI 252. Aaron Crispe was the star with the bat, compiling a terrific 110 off 168 balls with nine fours and five sixes. Archie Lalor made a great 59 off 117 balls, a well-made fifty. Will Blair's 57 off 89 balls was a half-century to remember. Credit to Noman Safdar, who took three for 59 for our opponents.
Joe Medew-Ewen led the way with the ball, finishing with four for 60. Archie Lalor finished with two for 22. Harry Duke made a classy 106 for the visitors, a century worth applauding.
