It just wasn't our day: our Northcote 2nd XI came off second best against Melbourne 2nd XI in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
The boys batted first and reached 10/212 from 49.2 overs. A classy 52 not out off 45 balls from Adam Howard was the highlight. Jack Sullivan claimed three for 37 for Melbourne 2nd XI.
Our opponents knocked off the runs, finishing on 5/213 in 48.2 overs. Credit to Ritin Raman, who made a half-century (62) for the visitors.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Well played to our opponents.
