Saturday didn't go our way, as our Northcote 2nd XI had to give best to Melbourne University 2nd XI in a tough outing.
Our totals were 10/147, against Melbourne University 2nd XI's 5/318. An unbeaten 35 off 118 balls from Ryan Siede was a highlight. Michael Sacchetta weighed in with 30 off 61 balls. For the hosts, Krish Kumar took three for 19 off fifteen overs.
Leonardo Manteit starred with the ball, taking two for 48. Our opponents' Tom Mileto made a quality 128. Benjamin Rolfs made a classy 116 for the hosts, a century worth applauding.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
