Playing at home, our Northcote 2nd XI fell to St Kilda 2nd XI in a disappointing result.
Our innings: 10/186. St Kilda 2nd XI's: 6/371. Noah Barone made a valuable 45 off 85 balls. Credit to James Gray, who claimed a seven-wicket haul (seven for 58) for our opponents. Harry Jones picked up three for 26 for the visitors.
With the ball, Ethan Sharkey did the damage, claiming four for 54 off seventeen overs. Fifty for Ashish Ashish, who made 74 for our opponents. The visitors' best was a half-century from Henry Gray, who made 74.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
