There was no joy for our Northcote 3rd XI, who went down to Casey South Melbourne 3rd XI.
Our totals were 10/120, against Casey South Melbourne 3rd XI's 9/252. Nathaniel Reichman made a valuable 25 off 55 balls. There were also handy runs from Charlie Pataki (24). A six-wicket haul to Matthew Blanch for our opponents (six for 26).
Earl Dicesare returned figures of three for 51 off 21 overs. Reeve Bal Pannu claimed three for 81 as well. The hosts' best was a half-century from Aayan Tanwar, who made 59. Aaron Blanch posted 52 for our opponents, a good fifty.
There were some fine individual efforts to build on.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
