It was a good day out for our Northcote 4th XI, who got past Casey South Melbourne 4th XI in a good team performance.
With the bat, we made 9/260; Casey South Melbourne 4th XI made 9/217. Ananya Goswami's 69 off 116 balls was a half-century to remember. Luke Miller made an excellent 63 off 77 balls, a well-made fifty. Imran Khan passed fifty on the way to 52 off 185 balls with four fours. Thomas Purcell did the damage for our opponents with four for 39.
With the ball, Qasim Khan did the damage, claiming three for 32 off 31 overs. Japjeet Khaira also took three for 40. Rayaan Kochhar made a good 77 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Purcell, who made 52.
Contributions came from right through the line-up.
Two wins on the trot now for the side. Congratulations to all involved.
