In Kookaburra Men's Premier action, our Northcote 2nd XI proved too strong for Greenvale Kangaroos 2nd XI on Saturday at Greenvale Reserve - Oval # 1.
Our total of 5/154 from 20 overs left Greenvale Kangaroos 2nd XI needing 155 to win. Daniel Lalor's 39 off 24 balls was the highlight with the bat. Solid support came from Michael Jephcott, who made 32. Lewis Dichiera claimed three for 18 for our opponents.
Needing 155, the hosts finished on 5/127 from 20 overs. Kanishk Bollu made a fine 59 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Ryan Siede picked up two for 21 off four overs.
Contributions came from right through the line-up.
