There was plenty to celebrate as our Northcote 2nd XI had the measure of Prahran 2nd XI thanks to Michael Sacchetta's 51.
Prahran 2nd XI's innings ended at 10/208, ours at 10/210. Michael Sacchetta posted a half-century, making 51 off 128 balls with eight fours. Daniel Lalor added a useful 33 off 93 balls. Credit to Hugh Birchall, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 51) for our opponents.
Roby Lane tore through the batting order, taking five for 54. James Boyce batted well for the visitors, making 48 off 71 balls. Sam Beer chipped in with 43 for our opponents.
Our bowlers led the way on the day.
