It was smiles all round as our Northcote 1st XI registered a win over Prahran 1st XI in Kookaburra Men's Premier action.
Over the course of the match we totalled 317, and Prahran 1st XI 226. Jack Lalor brought up a cracking century, finishing with 183 off 240 balls. Will Blair added a useful 30 off 70 balls. Matt Wilcox was the pick of the hosts' bowlers with four for 73.
Joe Medew-Ewen was the hero with the ball, claiming a six-wicket haul (six for 67). Adam Howard added three for 36. Max Delaney made a good 68 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Shenuka De Silva added a handy 36 for the hosts.
Big runs from our top order made the difference. That's back-to-back wins for the boys. Congratulations to all involved.
